The coffee originated from the historical town of
Taiping. Traditionally, the beyerage is à
mixture of local coffee, chocolate malt
(Milo) and milk. According to the folks,
miners in the olden days feel very
energetic and resourceful-after consuming
the beverage and are able to last the long
and-strenuous working hours under the
hot sun in the mine. With such a feeling,
they joke that they are strong as a-tiger
and able to conquer the lion each time
after having a cup of "Hor Ka Sai". It has
since been known as a famous beverage
for the Taping folks.
"Hor Ka Sai" has à very aromatic coffee,
creamy and concentrated taste yet not so
sweet. It can be served hot or with ice. A
cup of"'Hor Ka Sai" will surely spicè up your
